Food trends of 2019

In 2018, we saw the rise of kombucha (the non-alcoholic drink that swept global prominence), more chef looking at micro-seasonal menus, changing up ingredients every few weeks for more innovation and creativity.

As we step in 2019, we now see various new trends pop up, ones that shine more heavily than others.  Let’s explore a few:

  1. Sea Snacks

Snacks from the sea, instead of vegetables such as potato and tapioca.  With the large influence from the eastern flavors, we see kelp, kelp chips and anything from the sea-turned into snacks a big “yes please”

2. Plant-based protein

A buzzing word happening lately.  Those that are health conscious but still want that flavorful rush and textures cannot be replaced by “meaty mushrooms”.  This is where plant-based protein comes in.  From omni-pork to impossible foods, the “meat” comes from natural ingredients that is not just “plants”.  You can never turn an eggplant into pork?!

3. Eco-friendly packaging

Forget straws… even large chains are abandoning them!  There has been a lot of talks about eco-friendliness in companies, and more so in food companies.  With growing number of brands opting to switch their cutlery made from environmentally-friendly materials, such as biodegradable corn, you know that this trend is here to stay.

Let me share with you one of my favorite quotes, as stated in that quote, there are three key factors to achieve massive success in your life:

Don’t forget the preparation

Never ever think of giving up. Winners never quit and quitters never win. Take all negative words out of your mental dictionary and focus on the solutions with utmost conviction and patience. The battle is never lost until you’ve abandon your vision.

But what if you’re really exhausted physically, mentally, and most of all emotionally? Here are some sources of motivation to prompt you in reaching the peak of accomplishment.
